Reme Halo UV Light
The Reme Halo is a type of air purification system that uses ultraviolet (UV) lights to kill bacteria, viruses, and other harmful pathogens that may be present in the air. The Reme Halo UV lights work by emitting a low-level, continuous stream of hydrogen peroxide molecules into the air. These molecules attach themselves to harmful pathogens, breaking them down into harmless water vapor and oxygen.
The Reme Halo system is installed into the ductwork of a home’s heating and cooling system, where it can purify the air as it circulates throughout the house. In addition to its air purification capabilities, the Reme Halo can also help reduce odors, allergens, and other indoor air pollutants, creating a healthier indoor environment.
One of the advantages of the Reme Halo system is that it is relatively low-maintenance. The UV lights typically need to be replaced every two years, but there are no filters or other components that need to be regularly cleaned or replaced.
It’s important to note that while the Reme Halo can help improve indoor air quality, it is not a substitute for other important measures such as proper ventilation, regular cleaning, and maintenance of heating and cooling systems, and avoiding the use of harmful chemicals and other pollutants inside the home.
As with any home air purification system, it’s recommended to consult with a licensed HVAC professional to determine if the Reme Halo system is appropriate for your home and to ensure proper installation and maintenance.
