House too dry? Have Allergies? We offer an array of services to help improve the air quality in your home.

From controlling the humidity to cutting down on allergens, we have you covered. Call us today. Allergy season brings allergens into our homes and we breathe that air.

Some of us have seasonal hay fever while others of us struggle daily with the allergens that float around in the air we breathe. There are several ways to filter that air so that it is clean of allergens and Perfect Temp can help you figure out the best system for your home and your loved ones.

Some of the options are air filtration systems, electronic air cleaners, UV lighting and special filters that go into your A/C and Heating systems. A great client would be the friend that has been suffering from allergies.

There are three main ways to clean the air in your home.

  1. Changing your Filters every 3 months - Or getting a high efficiency air filter
  2. Using a Reme Halo UV Light
  3. Using an Electronic Air Cleaner

High Efficiency Air Filters

High-efficiency air filters are designed to remove a wide range of airborne particles, including dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, and bacteria, from the air. They are typically made from pleated filter material, which provides a large surface area for trapping particles. Some benefits of high-efficiency air filters include:
  1. Improved indoor air quality: High-efficiency air filters can remove a significant amount of airborne particles, improving the air quality in your home.
  2. Reduced allergens: If you or someone in your household suffers from allergies, a high-efficiency air filter can help reduce the amount of allergens in the air.
  3. Longer lifespan for HVAC equipment: High-efficiency air filters can help protect your HVAC equipment from dirt and debris, which can extend its lifespan and reduce the need for costly repairs.
  4. Energy savings: A clean air filter can help your HVAC system run more efficiently, reducing energy usage and lowering your utility bills.
When choosing a high-efficiency air filter, it's important to consider the MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) rating. The higher the MERV rating, the more efficient the filter is at removing airborne particles. However, it's important to choose a filter with a MERV rating that is compatible with your HVAC system. Some high-efficiency filters may restrict airflow and reduce the efficiency of your HVAC system, so it's best to consult with a professional before making a decision. It's also important to replace high-efficiency air filters regularly to ensure their effectiveness. Check the manufacturer's recommendations for how often to replace the filter, and consider more frequent replacements if you have pets, allergies, or live in a dusty area.

Reme Halo UV Light

The Reme Halo is a type of air purification system that uses ultraviolet (UV) lights to kill bacteria, viruses, and other harmful pathogens that may be present in the air. The Reme Halo UV lights work by emitting a low-level, continuous stream of hydrogen peroxide molecules into the air. These molecules attach themselves to harmful pathogens, breaking them down into harmless water vapor and oxygen. The Reme Halo system is installed into the ductwork of a home's heating and cooling system, where it can purify the air as it circulates throughout the house. In addition to its air purification capabilities, the Reme Halo can also help reduce odors, allergens, and other indoor air pollutants, creating a healthier indoor environment. One of the advantages of the Reme Halo system is that it is relatively low-maintenance. The UV lights typically need to be replaced every two years, but there are no filters or other components that need to be regularly cleaned or replaced. It's important to note that while the Reme Halo can help improve indoor air quality, it is not a substitute for other important measures such as proper ventilation, regular cleaning, and maintenance of heating and cooling systems, and avoiding the use of harmful chemicals and other pollutants inside the home. As with any home air purification system, it's recommended to consult with a licensed HVAC professional to determine if the Reme Halo system is appropriate for your home and to ensure proper installation and maintenance.

Electronic Air Cleaners

An electronic air cleaner, also known as an electrostatic air cleaner, is a type of air purification system designed to improve indoor air quality by removing airborne particles, such as dust, pollen, and other allergens, from the air. Unlike traditional air filters that use a mechanical filter to capture particles, electronic air cleaners use an electrostatic charge to attract and trap particles. The device typically consists of a pre-filter, a series of charged plates, and a collection cell. The pre-filter captures larger particles such as dust and pet hair, while the charged plates attract and trap smaller particles such as pollen, bacteria, and viruses. The collection cell is designed to hold the trapped particles until they are cleaned or removed. Electronic air cleaners are highly effective at removing pollutants from the air and can significantly improve indoor air quality. They are particularly useful for people who suffer from allergies, asthma, or other respiratory conditions, as they can help reduce the amount of allergens and irritants in the air. However, it's important to note that electronic air cleaners require regular maintenance and cleaning to function properly. The charged plates and collection cell must be cleaned or replaced periodically to prevent the buildup of dirt and debris that can reduce the device's effectiveness. Overall, electronic air cleaners are a great option for people looking to improve their indoor air quality and reduce the risk of respiratory problems caused by airborne pollutants.
